In September 2017, NHS England wrote to all our registered patients to say they had started the process of choosing a new group of doctors to run The Limes Surgery after Drs Andrews and Blankfield have retired. It is not known whether or not Dr Sami will continue to work at the practice.
NHS England are pleased to announce that this process is now complete and they have agreed a contract with Lea Valley Health to take over GP services at the surgery from Thursday 1st February 2018 onwards.
Lea Valley Health is a federation of GP surgeries in Waltham Cross, Cheshunt and Wormley, as well as in the Cuffley and Goffs Oak area. It has been formed by local GPs to develop good working relationships between neighbouring practices and to improve services so that patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
The surgery will remain open as usual and the new contract will be in place for up to five years, including an initial period of three years with the option for NHS England and East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to extend it for a further two years.
Access to appointments has been addressed urgently and Lea Valley Health, along with the practice, are in the process of putting together a schedule of clinicians to start on the 1st February 2018.
